Polo 5 Stud 01 on 5×100 35 to 45 57.1

Your looking for wheels with stud pattern 5 x 100, an offset (ET) ideally between 35-45 and a counter bore of 57.1 (the hole in the middle that sits on the hub).

of course you can get adapters to different stud patterns and spacers to alter offsets, but I'm assuming you are fairly new to aftermarket/alternative wheels.

I'm completely new yes haha thanks for the help though. I'd like the gti ones. Am I limited to a particular size? i.e. 15",16" etc?

As you are a beginner I would suggest going for the same size as your current wheels, or 1-2 inches bigger maximum, to keep the performance of your car true and your speedo in spec the rolling diameter is crucial, this is the total length from the one edge of the tyrel to the opposite edge of the tyre.

Bigger wheels need smaller tyres. a good site I use the compare sizes is this - http://www.rimsntires.com/specspro.jsp

so lets say your standard wheel is 14" with a 195/55/14 tyre, your diameter would be 570mm

if you fit 16" wheels you would need a tyre with spec 195/40/16 which would make the diameter 562mm

be aware as well of rim width often reffered to as "J" which kind of dictates the tyre width needed and also be aware of space this could potentially take up, resulting in the tyr or rim potentially touching bodywork or sticking out beyond the side of the car, which is illegal over 30mm and the tyre tread must be fully covered by the arch.

This is where the aforementioned link really comes in handy as it tells you how your knew rim will sit compared to your current one.

hope this helps, and doesn't come across as too daunting!

Your avatar says MK4 polo, is that VW MK4 or this forums definition of a MK4? as the VW is a chassis 9N and here it's a 6N1

The 9N does as stated above have 5 x 100 bolt pitch but the 6N1 is 4 x 100
