Nevada Beige Mk2 Project - "The Hustler"

Featured Replies

Unfortunately the time has come for me to part with this car.

Some of you may remember it from it's previous days when it was owned by Roger and looked like this.

After being broken into & crashed, it was laid up in a garage and sold to myself. Safe to say that it still doesn't look like it did at its best, however a lot of effort has been put in towards getting back that way.

There's still a long way to go but since buying it, I've had some welding done to the body work and a bit in the engine bay. The engine bay is by no means finished and currently sits in a coat of etch primer, however it has been started. So far I have done the following work:

  • Refurbished & installed the rear beam with brand new bushes.
  • Refurbished rear brakes.
  • Attached body panels to the drivers side (passenger side will be done before sale).
  • Had rear passenger wheel arch & rear turret welded.

I am still plugging away at it, so more will have been done by the time anyone views this. It is very much a work in progress, however the sale will include the following items at the very least:

  • All body panels and glass (minus windscreen).
  • Full brown interior - seats, carpets, dash, doorcards & parcelshelf.
  • The original 1.3 engine and gearbox (not built up, however most parts are there).
  • A pallet full of ABF parts which Roger initially intended to be used in the shell (includes a top-fill radiator).
  • Electrical looms, lights etc.
  • Full set of coilovers (from memory I believe they are KW's).

Obviously, being a rolling project this will need to be trailered away. If anybody would like to keep it in its current location I am sure something can be arranged with the owner of the unit.

When I bought it I paid £900 for the lot and it wasn't even a rolling shell, so I would like to see that back.

All offers will be considered, if anybody would like any specific pictures then please let me know.

I will be sad to see this go, however as usual life has got in the way and I can't just have it sat there doing nothing.

FURTHER PICS BELOW TAKEN SINCE WRITING ADVERT

Rare colour indeed, just need it gone unfortunately.

Will probably be going on ebay soon if there's no firm offers.
