Hi everyone, I'm Mat from Sheffield and I brought my new (to me) Polo 9n (53 plate) 1.9 tdi pd sport home last Saturday. I think I got a good deal, the car is clean and tidy with only 74k on the clock.

I have very little mechanical knowledge but I have enjoyed reading through previous forum posts and found much of the info to be accessible even to me. Thanks to your forum I've just changed the bulbs (very fiddly) and tonight I'll be changing the resistor that controls the blower speeds for the air con. Previously I wouldn't have known where to begin.

I'm only looking to keep my car standard but hope to learn enough on here to keep it running in good order.

In the meantime back to lurking lol. Thanks guys.
