Fairly positive its a 19mm...I would take a 17mm too just in case but i'm 95% sure. I dont rate those top caps much apart from the buffer on them so I carefully swapped the rubber buffer's onto the normal kind. They are a bit weaker and the base sometimes deforms a bit with tightening and daily use

It's supposed to be but personally I think it's a downgrade, think a lot of people will do it to get rid of the gap and maybe to stop the noise of the originals if they ever hit the strut top but mine never have and the rubber is the only difference other than it is shallower lol

might leave it then...haven't had any bother with mine

Yeah, decent little mod.

19mm Swan neck spanner and it could be anything to hold the shock insert. Normally either a 8mm hex or spanner though.
