It's allllll a compromise!

TA Technics or whatever can say right, we need to make a kit so these guys can slam their polos cheaply.

Meanwhile OEMs are having to make something comfortable, handle safely and correctly, be durable (both the component and that fact it won't harm other parts on the car, body loads etc) work with 1 person in the car, work with the whole family going to the airport...

My car is pretty stiff for road use, it isn't comfortable (although it's a lot more comfortable than 90% of modified polos Iv been in) but if I were to say go to the Nurburgring it would be awful, there's too many large compressions etc for the amount of wheel travel I'm using, it would need to be stiffer still, making it even worse on the road - so it would be further compromised to suit that.

Even adjustable dampers are a bit of a gimmick, I had my Gaz ones rebuilt all together to change the damping, as with the adjusters you're only messing with what's already there.

I could recommend you some softer springs which should calculatively roughly give a good pitch balance, how it will handle or ride - God knows! Haha.

I'm sure someone measured an OE front Spring which was like 100lb/in so even at 200 you'd be twice as stiff.

Also given the lack of space available on the front you won't be able to go low on soft springs anywho as they just go coil bound - so you need a long Spring so there's more available travel - but then that'll compromise your ability to drop it.

All a balancing act !
