Hi yeah it is this item but in mine it sits in the rubber boot. What is it and am I knackered getting one.

sure someone on the classifieds will sell you one...my mk2 doesnt have one , i assume its to an anti drain valve incase you roll the car?

Searched for it but no luck anyone got this locking around. Wish I knew what it's proper name is.

I've sceen someone uses a large bit of hose and a gomet for the pipe of death before, sceems to have worked well.

I've replaced the pipe of doom with a dish washer hose and then run the fuel line through it

Still struggling to find the correct name for the valve that sits inside the rubber filler neck boot as pictured above !!!

Do you guys think that I can replace the gravity valve with a fuel one way non return valve. These are readily available and it should do the same job. What do you think?? I am struggling to get an original bit.
