Hi guys managed to get hold of some colour concept heaed seats with the loom and switches

Just need a some on advice on how to connect them up i have these 4 wires

What connectors do i need to fit and where do i need to fit them to

Switches seems from a mk5 polo,
but where are the seats from? Also a mk5 polo, or a golf?

From memory there are 5 wires on the switch.

1 ground

2 lighting

3 power (usually switched but I put mine to something that is only live when engine is running)

4 "on"signal, live when switch is first turned past 1

5 variable resistance depending on where the switch is set.

From memory there are 4 wires going to the seat.

1 is ground

2 is switched power, can be connected to constant power

3 is on signal (4 from switch)

4 is switch level so 5 on switch.

Really not a difficult harness to make.

You do need the great and black connectors for the switches, otherwise you can use normal spade connectors but it's messy.

Also, the connectors to the seats also make it a lot easier.

Do you have the covers of the switches? If not then try to get them from the seller as VW only sells the complete switch and it's shocking how much they want for them. Golf switches don't fit, but pasta one might be the same.

I have the complete loom witht the plugs for the seats and the switches i just need to know where to connect the 4 wires in the above picture. i know that one of them has to go into 51 in the fuse box with a 15a i just need help with how to get it in their, also not sure on what to do with the blue/gray wires and where to connect them.

The black wire will be the power from the fuse, the brown wire is ground & Blue/Grey will be the switch illumination, splice that to any of the other switch wires of the same colour

I connected my black wire to an empty fuse slot. I used a normal junior timer connector and there is a locking tab on the Side of the fuses block, so just move that then slide the pins in.

The other side of the fuse can either be spliced to the thick black and yellow in the fuse area, or run to one of the main power point on the bottom of the fuse box. These are secured on with 10mm nuts so will need a 6mm ring connector. I'm 90% sure the far left one is black/yellow.

As for the ground, there are 3 places that are good. On is in the middle under the centre console but is hidden under the carpet. The other 2 are either side on the A pillars the drivers side is right by the fuse box, the passengers is right near where the dash bolts to the body. The passengers should only have 1 other connection that's for the heater blower.

Ideal thanks I thought the number 51 fuse slot wiring would be already their :( this's clears up a lot thanks bud and am I right it saying I can splice the blue/gray wires into any of that matching colour?

If you look at any of the other switches (heated rear window, heater fan speed etc) there will have a blue/grey wire, splice your new ones to that :)
