Mk2 Polo Coupe CL Parade

Featured Replies

I'm very reluctant to be selling as I was wanting to keep it until I can afford to run and insure two cars however practically this won't be for a while so I've decided to find it a new home.

It is a 1989 VW Polo Coupe CL Parade, 1L in slightly metallic blue. I've owned the car for around two and a half years and after getting a new job that requires a long commute it has been sorn since the start of June 2015. It's been through two mots with me with the last one running out in July. Prior to this the mot has never lapsed and I'm confident that it will sail through this time that is be happy to take it for one prior to sale.

The mileage is currently 55,168 with around 20,000 of those being driven by me. (three previous owners) At 55,000 I had brand new winter tyres fitted (paper work included) and the rear tyres are nearly new also.

I have both mot pass certificates, the original manual and receipts for all the work I've had done. This includes new front shock absorbers and a track rod end, along with a new exhaust (done the same time as the new front tyres) and a distributor cap (fitted by me).

I've serviced it myself regularly since I've had it, with new spark plugs, oil, filters ect (new battery same time as new tyres). And since it has been sorn I've regularly run and moved it to stop seizing ect.

The body work is fantastic with a very small patch of surface rust an inch square on the edge of the passenger front quarter near the edge of the door. Original wheel trims are on. Interior is great also, with a small warn patch on outside drivers seat. It even has the original spare tyre from when it left the factory, which has never been used.

List price is £2,500 but I am open to realistic offers. If you'd like any more info or pictures please ask. All viewings are greatly welcomed.

My location is Chesterfield Derbyshire. 5 mins from jct 29 of the m1

Are you mad? £2500?

Low mileage, tidy, mid spec, bodywork looks ok, and the rear bench is a leopard... 2500 does seem a bit much though.
