I personally like the look of black bonnets, especially on red cars. The plastidip option is a matter of opinion. You won't know for sure until you try it!

If you do plan to plastidip though, I would suggest doing that yourself. Easy enough if you follow some of the youtube tutorials

Yeah I like the look of the black bonnet to from what I've seen. Unfortunately I haven't got time to Do the plastidip my self as I'm always working. Can I ask also what a your opinion on putting mods on your insurance if so what insurance company is the best. This is my first car so insurance is nearly 2000. I've seen a topic on here called prestige are they any good ??

only looks right on old yank muscle cars imo , on modern stuff it just looks like you crashed and cant afford to paint the replacement bonnet

I do agree to an extent. If it is obvious the car was meant to look that way, I do sometimes like it. Depends on the car...

To be honest, if you don't tell them, you're screwed if you crash. If you tell them, you're screwed in your bank account.

I knew a guy at college who had a Saxo VTS that was modded to holy hell and kept quiet about it. He had a minor crash and had to get the insurance involved. He got home and swapped everything back.

Take from that what you will

Getting the bonnet done next Thursday! Ill post some pics when its done x

Hi,

If you need any help with insurance at all then please feel free to drop me a line. I'd be only too pleased to try and help.

Regards,

Dan.

It generally pays to run a bog standard car until you have built up some 'no claims bonus' - generally cheaper that way.

The other point being that if you drive on someone else's insurance, you may never build up a NCB.

Regards
