Standard Steel Wheel Size on 2000 (x reg) 6n2?

Featured Replies

Hey all sorry for the stupid question, but what is the standard wheel size on 2000 6n2? I bought the car with 175/55/13 with rolling radius of 522mm but I've read on the Guide that the 6n/6n2 standards are 185/55/14 with rolling radius of 559mm...

Are my wheels too small?

I'm looking at wheels with 195/50/15 tyres on them are they too much of a diff on Speedo? The diff from my current ones would be 9% so 60mph would be 65mph ?! Is that correct?

Also how do I check my Speedo is correct? And how would I go about adjusting it if I have to?

Thank you!!

you can check the speedo by using a sat nav and comparing the two , on the flat a sat nav is usualy more accurate , but most speedos read over a little anyway , they cant be adjusted

dunno on tyre size , bash your reg number in a online tyre site and it will most likley come up with what size it has

Standard Steels and some alloys on a petrol model would be 13" with 175/65/13 tyres

Alloys on a petrol and standard Steels on a Diesel 14" 185/55/14 tyres

Top spec alloys across all models would be 15" with 195/45/15

I ran 195/50's on some 15" alloys a while back and didnt notice a huge difference, maybe a tad more sluggish, but that could be down the the overall weight of the wheel/tyre over the 13" steels I had on before hand.

Thanks guys, I used mytyres.co.UK and it came back with 176/65/13. Whoever bought the tyres got the wrong size I guess.

Much appreciated!
