probably 13 x 6 without modification, 14 6j et38 for me with 165 tyres and they're very close to the coillies. so need spacers to go wider

Unless you are running something silly like 300bhp do you really need an 8 inch wide wheel?

I'd say between 5.5j and 7j is where you want to be depending on the offset.
