My '88 Breadvan

Featured Replies

So, I bought this little Polo to do up to be, sort of my 1st car (although it's my fourth)

It's only done 22k and has full history

We had a 600 mile round trip to pick it up but it was worth it

Then I bought some AllyCats, pressed plates, stickers etc.

Big bill for that amount of rust :( hope it is done to a high standard though. Car looks good, just a subtle lowering kit will finish it off nicely. Also refreshing to see not everyone with a bread

  • Windscreen out ready for rust repairs Need to find a bolt on exhaust system if anyone knows of any, had to ditch the straightpipe as its far too loud for a daily.

  • Shameless plug time, I've recent;y been making a documentary on modified car culture in cornwall. check it out

Looks real nice. Original.

Ally cats are a nice addition.

Looks lovely mate, personally I would have kept this one standard but it's not like they are rare or valuable or anything, hopefully lows with the alley catz will set it right off

Got a £700 rust bill coming up but after that's sorted I'll probably put a sound system in and leave it as is

Nice to see a breadvan so clean and original. Nice to hear you're going to keep it that way too :-)

Where's the rust then? Betting the battery tray and the fuel filler area?

Scuttle, bottoms of the door and needs a tiny patch in the rear arch

Pretty standard...

Also refreshing to see not everyone with a breadvan is trying to fit 9j ET0 wheels on the back.

little exhaust sounds

Sounds like there's some blowing there...or do you have no rear box at all now?

Sounds like when I smashed the backbox off my piper exhaust on the 106 lol
