In the middle of a 6n2 front on my 6n.only problem I hav is headlights.my 6n loom is 7 pin and so is the 6n2 headlights I have the adapter loom for the 6n2 lights.problem I hav is wen I put full beam on my dipped lights go off.is this normal.if not any ideas or no who can help.iv read loads of build threads and spoke to people but still stumped

Would that be an mot fail then if they don't work together.

Like I said in my PM, I'm sure all Polo's turn off the dipped beam when you turn on the high beam.

Don't see what effect it would have on the MOT?

I checked my mates.his stay on with full beam.if it won't be an issue for mot then I'm fine with that.thanks for all the help

I added a diode between the white and yellow wire on the stalk switch.

This allows the main beam output to power the dipped beams.

If you opened up the switch you'd see when you pull it back and it clicks it switches power from low to high.

Newer cars don't do this, I can only imagine it's to do with the H4 bulbs. I guess if you had both on at the same time it could over heat?

Could also try the 6n2 stalk switch as it doesn't have the switchover inside. I'm pretty sure they use the same plugs
