Coilover help

Featured Replies

Have any of you got any ideas how to stop them seizing? Had to bite the bullet today and order a new set as mine have seized solid. Regardless of how much brute force we used to try and free them we had no luck. Lost my patience and ordered new ones. Is there any way to prevent this happening

Thanks jay

you get what you pay for tbh. cheap ones like joms etc seize more often then say eibachs

I'm guessing you could stop them seizing by lifting the rubbing dust cover and spraying grease/oil in there just to keep them luuubbbbeeed!!!

You can buy Neoprene "socks" which will cover what you want (can buy different lengths)

Give them a good lube first then using these will stop grit and rubbish sticking to them.

Worked fine for me for ages.

They're what people use in auto grass racing etc to stop the mud

marine waterproof grease and clean and re apply often
