Recently bought a 2002 6n2 polo for myself to have as a little project. I've been looking at getting some new wheels, and I absolutely love the audi TT comps that I've seen on some golfs and 9n's, like below.

Unfortunately, the 5x100 wheels wont go straight onto my hubs (obviously) so I'll need some spacers/adapters if I go for them. Basically does anyone have any knowlegde about fitting these wheels, or know of any similar ones that might be able to bolt straight on?

Last bit, what would you suggest in terms of lowering, just some new springs, or a full coilover set? And which are good ones to get?

wont bolt straight away unless you have adapters or the hard way redrill your hubs etc to 5x100. Easiest option is 4x100 to 5x100 adapters and is cheaper than redrilling, ebay or venommotorsport have adapters for decent prices.

Thanks Nimal, will 17's be alright fitment wise with the adapters?

Depends on what size adapters you go for. wheel fitment depends on your tyres and if you going low etc then you have to roll you are arches.

17 look to big if your going for a low look! 15 or 16 look best imo! :)

17's with adaptors will cause issues on a 6n2, mainly as the offset and width will cause you headaches, especially if you want to lower the car anything more than 20/30mm, better off with 15's or 16's

As long you rolled/modify your arches you be fine.

Fronts perhaps, but not the rears as the rear bumper makes up more of the rear arch than it does on a 6n, its far easier to just drop down an inch or two and spare needless work and crappy ride/handling
