Year: 1999

MOT: sept 16

Price: 1100

Polo 16v for sale.

112 odd thousand miles. MOT until September 2016.

I got this car on 108k off someone on here, lowered a bit on BBS solitudes. I have proceeded to replace most perishable parts, MOT it and generally give it the TLC it deserved.

Just a few weeks ago, we notched and lowered the car down on some nice 16's. BBS solitudes are available and the coilovers are free to move up if required.

Its a nice drive on the motorway, towns and country roads can be a pain. Glides over speed bumps, only the subframe, cat and sump plug are close to the ground. All aligned.

Plenty of scope to go lower should the owner want to. The plan was to keep this as a weekend car but a new property with only one parking space is forcing me to get rid.

excuse the filth in the pictures. Car would be fully valeted for new owner.

Cars ideal for someone to make mint for the future or just introduce more tarmac to the floorpan.

Good bits;

A tonne of history and receipts

Previous owner all at garages

in my ownership, work carried out by my family and myself (all master tech hgv mechanics)

Full service 5k ago

New Pads + Discs

Cylinders + Shoes

Fresh Fluids

Rear wheel bearings

Alternator Belt

Gearbox changed 1k ago with a 80 something thousand mile box

new clutch and cable

exhaust backbox replaced

Cambelt has been replaced around 80k but probably wants doing for piece of mind really.

chassis notch

ARB removed

coilovers

BBS RX 16 x 6.5 w/ brand new 165/40s (sub 1k miles on the tyres)

5mm spacers to clear the coilovers

Front arches rolled

costs nothing to run, and is quite fun to drive

paint comes up nice

Wiring for speakers to the rear

Uncut parcel shelf

Numerous spares in the boot (momo + boss available)

Bad Bits;

Electric windows are shot - However....

A/c blows ICE cold

sun roof doesn't leak at all - and i don't smoke so i've never been arsed to fix them.

Nearside wing is battered from wheel contact

the turning circle is a joke

it smells like a damp from when it was sat without a gearbox for a few months

general wear and tear - body is knocked and scratched as to be expected

small chip in windscreen (not mot failure)

offside rear arch starting to bubble, but not too far gone as of yet

trip doesn't work (i don't drive it enough for it to bother me)

inspection lights on the dash

I drive it with care and attention, its not trashed. I'm 25 and understand that a 16v polo isn't a racing car.

Feel free to PM me. Would swap for a clio sport (plus cash) or a decent golf or something fun for the commute.

or even a 1.0 saxo/106/corsa/ax/punto could tempt me as an exchange (i need a beater for my missus to learn drive in)

no and no.

now taking offers.

Sporting a red door as it was broken into via bending the b pillar, interior covered in char from fingerprinting. The drivers side rear sill is pretty damaged where they couldn't get a jack under it.

On steels now as my BBS were stolen. (same offset and size as bbs, from renault captur)

If someone doesn't wanna take it and fix it i shall garage it and turn it into a track car shell.

Cheers. Rob.

(pps, if anyone does have a silver door i'll have it off you.
