Polo 9N BETA stereo "SAFE"

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, I've just bought an aux in kit for my VW Beta stereo. Whilst fitting it I took out the power connector and now all I see is 'SAFE' on the display. Once it showed me 'safe' then '1000' with the ability to input the code but now all it shows is 'safe' with a 2 in the corner (I presume this is how many attempts I have made to inout the code)

Any help would be very much appreciated

You need to leave it switched ON with the key in the ignition for around an 1hr Don't attempt to input a code during this time, it should then revert to displaying SAFE then you can put the correct code in :)

I don't want to question your knowledge but.....an hour?! really?!

Afraid so, had the same with the standard HU in mine.

I didn't have the code, and the one the code generator I had gave me was wrong, I solved it by binning it and buying something better :)
