Is there any way of servicing a noisy heater motor, mines starting to annoy me and going to have a look at it this weekend

I wanted to go into work to get some tools this morning but the garage was locked, so I had to use basic tools but I did it haha, it was easy, would of been easier with right tools, took off both pipes for heater matrix, took the clips off at the top unplugged it and just gave it a yank, came out in the end

For reference it's in the scuttle panel

Yeah, slide off the two clips on the top of the casing, unclip the adjuster cable from the tap, pull off the electrical connector block, use long nose pliers to draw back the hose connectors, and then you can withdraw the unit from the engine bay.

It takes literally two minutes to remove the blower unit, complete with heater matrix.

This is absolutely unheard of these days, with thousands of more modern cars scrapped for being written off, just because the heater matrix leaks - and it's too labour intensive to justify repair.

Removed it sprayed it with WD40 and the white grease to keep it lubed
