I have a mpg gauge to mont sum wer in my breddy boulevard 1.0, does any one know how to wire them up or what else I need. As much help would b much appreciated. 😊

Is this a Formel E gauge that fits in the Mk2 dash clocks above the LEDs?

Or something more sophisticated like a KiwiPLX or ScanGuage that would need an OBD port?

Then I'm pretty sure it's just a vacuum gauge, so you need a thin tube from your inlet manifold after the throttle plate to the tube on the back of the gauge.

The higher the vacuum the more the engine is sucking fuel and air. The lower the vacuum the more the cylinders are near atmospheric pressure and the harder you foot is on the accelerator pedal, cause you are lead footed or in wrong gear.

I doubt there are any electrical connections since Mk2 dial are top lit from two tiny bulhtbs.

So you might need a source of light if you want to read the gauge at night and you are not putting it in your own dash clocks to replace temp gauge and any coolant warning light - that's what mine's got above the LEDs(so you'd need another engine temp gauge).

What year is your boulevard? If it has a carb (pre 1989?) an inlet manifold take off point might be easy to find or fit. The vacuum advance tube to distributor using a Tee take-off might do, but readings might be inaccurate at low throttle. But they are approximations anyway.

I fitted a brake nipple to my carburettor base mount adaptor plate by drilling and tapping a hole, the screwing it in with PTFE tape.
