Hello my name is Sakis and I'm from Greece.I have a polo 9n 1.4 75hp.

I have seen that in polos 9n/9n3 there are two different versions of the dashboard.One has soft touch material on the top and the other one doesn't.For example mine has a soft touch dash, while a friend's 9n has hard plastic.I've also seen a 9n3 gti with hard plastic dashboard and I was surprised because it's the most expensive version.Can anybody solve this mystery?

There are two different part numbers for the dash, normal & padded so it must of been an option/trim level when the car was ordered :)

I will upload some pictures when I will be back in Greece, hopefully in two weeks.

I have an interesting project coming on.

I have to do some research first though.

I have an exhaust manifold and a k03 turbo from a 1.4 tsi engine.I will have to rebuild the engine with forged pistons and rods and use the camshafts from bbz engine.I also have to work out what will happen with the fuel injectors.I' ve seen some other projects in Greece which use the injectors from a lancia intergrale.I think I'm going to use some bits from the 1.6 engine like the crankshaft,intake manifold and throttle body.And last but not least I will see if I can unlock my ecu so that it can be remapped,otherwise I will use an ecu from golf 4 which is bosch and I know that is remappable.
