post-2223-0-46311000-1456783004_thumb.jpWith regret I’m selling my 3 door 6N 16v as I haven’t driven her since May 2105.

First registered on 12/08/1999, I’ve owned her since August 2009, but as now I walk to work, and my wife uses our family car, as the Polo is not big enough for 3 kids, is just sat around.

I have been meaning to get her back on the road again for nearly 12 months, but come to the sad realisation that I’m really not going to have the time in the foreseeable future with .

This has been highlighted by the fact that some little ***** have kicked both wing mirrors off the car.

The MOT expired in on 21/07/2015, so is currently not drivable but should not require too much work to get her roadworthy again. any advisories were addressed at time of last MOT in July 2014.

Good points:

BBS Solitudes professionally powder coated - negligible miles since refurb.

Rare air con model (needs re-gassing)

2 new tyres

Good strong AFH engine that pulls well.

Smooth gearbox with no suggestion of any of the issues that blight the 6N 16v gearboxes.

Remote central locking conversion with two flip keys

Issues:

Needs two new wing mirrors, does have electric mirrors but non electric would fit.

Odometer needs replacing

Small patches of rust on one door

Someone has tried to break into the boot so key does not open lock (central locking locks and unlocks without issue)

After recharging the battery started first time today.

Will need to be towed away unless you bring at least a drivers side mirror and have an MOT booked, in which case you can drive it to there MOT station as soon as you’ve arranged insurance. If the route to the MOT station takes you past your house, and you decide to stop and cancel the MOT

This is a great opportunity to get a cheap 16v that with a little TLC can be a great car, and one that I feel

I’d like £550 for the car, but not completely sure what it is worth, so will consider offers and would be willing to sell the car without the wheels. I am not going to break it though, as I do not have the time.

I will not sell the wheels before the car is sold though.

Please feel free to ask any questions, either on here or e-mail insightg40@hotmail.co.uk

Photos are from when I bought the car, will try and get some up up to date ones in the next few days.

I haven’t driven her since May 2105.

If you decide to break it I'll happily buy the flux capacitor, else good luck with the sale
