Pretty much lol think I've cracked the wiring conundrum. Just need to run it by nige to make sure it's going to work and then I'll finish up and do an update

Uh oh...maybe the new owner will continue the thread when the shell goes to him on Wednesday.

The good news is that in the state it's in I was never going to carry on. It would cost too much for what I wanted it to be. The new owner will give it a new life it's never been used to though so I'm excited for it :)

who is the mystery owner and is he/she on here too? would love to see a thread of it's new plans etc. shame you had to sell it, but when it becomes a proper money pit it's best to let go as you already have your current project.Hope you do find a clean rust free example soon .

Someone on here and I'm sure they will update accordingly or make a new thread. Rust free might be hard to come by lol but every panel almost needs work and it's different colours. That's the downside and plus the blue one will total in just over 1k in body work. And that was pretty tidy

you me both in the same boat i got quoted £1200 for mine to get done. it will get done but not anytime time now . Looking forward to seeing progress on the mk2f bready

I think I'll keep this thread up to date.

Myself and Steven drove down through the night and then back up the road during the day, a grand total of 1136 miles in 27 hours. Not something I'll be wanting to repeat any time soon but was good to meet up with John, and have a look at his mk3 bready!

Plans for Gloria will start with a complete strip down to tackle all the rusty bits, she's never going to be perfect but I'd at least like some metal in the right places to start with!

The G40 setup that was due for the mk3 coupe will end up in her :)

Had a couple hours spare tonight so had to do some polo related things.

First the GT shell got evicted from the garage.

Re-arranged the garage (for the 100th time) last week so I have room to walk around the car.

Had to make it look like a car again, even if it won't last for long.

Found some lense tape so de-tangoed the rears. There was a hole in this one too so stops the water getting in.

That's where the fun bit ends, had to have a dig about.

Took the wet carpet out and some scraping and wire wheeling later.

And here's some random crispy photos that can be the "before".

Still a lot more digging about to do, but so far not too bad considering its older than me (only just).
