For sale...

1997 vw polo, 1.0L

This car is in great condition for its age, it has a few scratches and marks however all over condition is excellent.

The mileage for the car is 23564 (see pictures) this may go up slightly with daily use..

This car has been in the family since new, was originally owned by great aunt who only used the car to go to local shops.

Battery was replaced 10 days ago and comes with a 3 year warranty. Comes with a full spare tyre as well as the spare wheel in boot. The exhaust was replaced 18 months ago. Has kenwood CD player which was installed 3 years ago. 15inch alloy wheels with good tyres. There was welding carried out last year on some rust issues ( common problem with older polo's) however has now been sorted. Also comes with original hand book and 2 keys. Have a number of receipts for work carried out, some MOT and part service history. Last service 2014 mostly main dealer stamps.

More pictures can be forwarded if required.

Car is an excellent runner and never let me down. Will be sad to see the car go. Only selling due to purchasing a new car! This car will last another 20 years.

GRAB A BARGIN PRICED TO SELL

Couple of bad points: Rust on rear wheel arches and scratch on back (see photos) Otherwise excellent for the age.

Please note this model does not have power steering or electric windows (Less to go wrong) Although steering is heavy for parking etc.

Car passed its MOT with flying colours (ZERO ADVISORYS) 25/02/2016

NOW VALID UNTIL 24/03/2017 Thats right now 13 months MOT on the car!!

Any inspection welcome, Would make a great project

Hi

Just wondering if you guys think I've priced the car correctly? Any feedback would be appreciated.

Cheers

Hi Mate, looks like a very clean and well looked after car and the mileage is unbelievable. Unfortunately 1 litre 6ns just don't got for the price you've got it up for. A lot of people (myself included) would go for a higher mileage car and spend less. I got My current 6n 16v with A/C and all the extras in good condition for less than you're asking for this. Hope that you don't think that I'm trying to put you down, just trying to give some advise. unfortunately, its just not a car someone will spend 800 on despite it being very clean, low mileage. Not to say that you wont find someone who will pay it, it just might take a while if you hold out for that price.

Take away the low miles which unless it's been serviced regular is a risk then it's worth a few hundred quid tops. It's old, and has no pas and has some bodywork issues. It would also be more sellable if you ditched the rims.
