Hi there, I have recently lowered my car on coilovers but I seem to have a rather large amount of negative camber on the front wheels.

I have tried adjusting the camber bolts and when I lower the car back onto the ground It looks ok but as soon as I start driving it knocks ever so slightly then when I get where I'm going it has the camber again.

I didn't replace the bolts with new ones so is it possible that they are slipping when I am driving or could it be something else.

I have lowered by about 70mm on the front.

I'm not bothered about wearing tyres out or anything but it just seems odd to me and looks odd. It also doesn't seem to corner as well.

Don't know if its normal and just me being paranoid

You should fit new bolts/nuts on the hub assy to strut and make sure they're done up to the correct torque 95Nm

Also adjusting the camber a small amount has a big effect on toe, so I would get a proper wheel alignment done, it will effect how it drives a lot, not just tyre wear

I refitted the old bolts as funds don't warrant a trip to vw at the moment. I cleaned them up then torqued them up to 95nm and they haven't slipped or anything for 2 days now so think that was the problem. Will get some new bolts soon though. Tracking being done tomorrow so hopefully handling will be much better then. Thank you for your replies
