Friends Polo 6n2 has a problem with the lights when you put the switch on full the indicators go on and stay solid, he has disconnected the battery and checked the fuses and doesnt know what it is, Help greatly appreciated.

Have you tried disconnecting the indicator stalk as it might be shorting across contacts in the switch

Id be checking earths, take them off clean them up and tighten back up.

It could well be an earth problem.

When you have a poor earth connection, the return current will try and find another way 'home' - this could be via one or more other bulbs, resulting in the lights not being at normal brightness, as the bulb filaments are effectively connected in series.
