How low can you go on coilovers

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, new to club polo, and new to breadvans:) As I am a student funds are tight, but I want to invest in coilovers all round, they say a 90mm drop is possible. Just wondered what that looked like, or even lower than that as taking out the helper springs will drop it more.

Post some pictures belowwww!

Again sorry for the noob question😂

I was going to say the same lol. Rubbish if they are too low anyway, they can look cool without MAD lows

they would look low on a 90mm drop but prepare to sacrifice for crap handling and feeling every bump on the road. lol

Nimal

Coilovers for the mk2 are EXPENSIVE!! the cheapest set being £350, then you need to add the price of new front bearings onto that too and also castor correction ARB blocks which are a must for going low on these.

A 90mm drop will look low though and they will go lower, but you may start to encounter driveshaft issues and exhaust issues.

Yeah , Those are the Blocks.

Polomon had a very low Mk2F on coilovers, if you can find any pictures of it.

Also McLovin had air ride in a mk2F, that was proper low

Just be ready for regular exhaust replacement if you really low, also its possible to blow the diff too

Hmm yeah the price is a bummer, my car is lowered a small amount, just i want to go lower, and all my freinds say to go lower too!

Are these the blocks i need? from http://www.poloperformanceparts.co.uk/shop.php?action=add&id=35&cat=2

Thanks for the help

ignore your friends telling you to slam it.All that peer pressure.lol. A nice subtle drop would do ;) . Build the car for you not for your friends to approve
