G40 parts

Featured Replies

Hi all, hoping somebody could help.

I have a mk2 with a G40 conversion and need a few parts to get it running again. The engine isn't getting Fuel or Spark and has been sat for a while now.

I've been told it can only be the Crankshaft Sensor or the ECU and Fuel relays by a German specialist who says he's had a few G40 and knows them well. I couldn't find original ECU and Fuel relays because they've stopped making them so bought from a German website but they haven't worked. Has anyone had the same problem or have any advice or parts? Can parts from any other engine such as GT be used? A mate who is a mechanic said it could be the ECU that is faulty.

if it means buying the ECU with full loom and relays and sensors then I'd be happy to because I'm getting nowhere with it.

I'm based in Sheffield but can collect if any one can help.

Cheers

Rob

Hi mate first off no crank sensor its all done through the dizzy, a few gt parts are the same as g40 like fuel rail, fuel pump, relays are a common fault Good place to start.

cheers mate a member on the G40 forum has said the same, do you know if it's possible to get original relays any where? Reading other posts looks like they're impossible to get hold of I'm hoping someone might have them lying round

Give a guy called peteg40 a pm he might have them, he runs an online g40 shop on club g40 called petes dub stuff, if not someone else may be able to help with sourcing them.
