Hi folks,

After a fair run with Jap cars I decided I wanted something a bit better on fuel to drive to work but still wanted something with a bit of poke. I also wanted something more sensible, the sensible part didn't exactly go to plan as you'll see......

So it's low, very loud and has camber and stretched rubber. Pretty much the opposite of what I was looking for and goes against alot of things I hold true to cars. Oh and it has bolt on arches! So not the most practical or sensible choice BUT for some reason it's growing on me. Plus the fact it had a full MOT and has already had the clutch and infamous gearbox rebuild swayed me alot.

I'm not entirely sure what direction I want to go with it, I've had a couple VW's before but they were fairly standard. The other half has said do what I want with it as she won't be seen in it and has her E46 so it's an open canvas. Definitely open to ideas and I appreciate it won't be everyones cup of tea (it's not entirely mine to be honest!)

like everything apart from those arches, would look alot cleaner with out them.

I got the chance to test the reliability of the Polo in the form of an impromptu drive to Oxfordshire with a mate to pick up an Orion.

She did the 370 mile trip faultless without one little hiccough which made this bargain even sweeter. Although the exhaust will need to be changed as it's too loud for long distance journeys! Although, 300+ miles did take its toll on the wheels and body with plenty of grime, dust and bugs

So she's due a good bath and polish today!
