Still working in this, the kr loom is out as it was 10" to long at the bulk head which isnt a huge problem but the rocco 16v loom is obviously a perfect fit

Currently runing lumpy with a low idle and a max of 3k on the revs so will look that over

On a plus i drove it out and back in the garage for the first time the other day

Still chipping away at this, hit it quite hard for a few months at a time and then take a break

Its now on ap coilovers and new topmounts new camber bolts. I have a SA clutch cable conversion to go in

This is proof it runs, sounds nice when rev'd

When its on the road i may bring it up

Turns out its not and ABF engine but an ACE which is a an audi late spec 9a with a ABF head and 15mm shorter

Already had kr cams in it so it should be hitting 150 or there abouts

The other didnt come out so well, sanded it back a few times but the paint always moved away from spots

I may also tint the black stripes on the rear lights with it

Love this! I'd a Scala injection for 9years and it wrecked me having to part with it, but needed more doors.

They're a real natural progression from a Mk2/3 Polo, go like stink, handle well and easy run!

Keep the pics coming

A bit more info on this

The 2l 16v conversion was completed and i was testing it all before mot prep

Around this time i was offered this

IMG_20190831_143017_622.thumb.jpg.70080e2a57591d95fac9f8762c6b81d7.jpg

It was at a price i couldnt turn down.

Around this time there was a post on the scirocco forum of someone looking for a solid shell as their 20vt scirocco was written off by somone pulling out across them. They wanted to rebuild the car but didnt want to ruin an std car as they are now classics

I offered my shell and stripped and sold the conversion and most other parts, i also stripped my polo and sold its parts which paid off the gto

The sciroccp shell was repainted in LO41 and has had the conversion done and has had a red leather interior fitted. Will try get pictures

I loved that rocco and my polo but i knew it would be foolish to turn down the gto
