6R coilers sound loose & clunky

Featured Replies

Hi ladies & Gents

its years since I've posted on here,

I've got a 1.2 6R polo and i have some cheap race line ( i think) coilovers on the car so i could fit my bbs replica alloys on.

Now recently they've become loose often and sound clunky, now I'm not sure if i need some better top mounts or if theres any suggestions as to a solution? I'm even considering a new set but i don't have a big budget as I'm not sure what to do with the car, one mind is supercharge it another is to sell and upsize.

Thoughts please.

With regards to coilovers I'd be making sure the top nuts are tight and re checking everything.

Check the drop links. The ones on my A1 were loose after a shitty garage fitted my coilovers, clunked badly, got some new drop links (shorter and 14mm diameter threads) and then it was fine.
