Private plate...

Featured Replies

I joined Club Polo in 2007 at the age of 17 and randomly thought of a forum name "Danny Dub". Little did I know this would end up being my nickname around my friends and even just "Dub". I haven't owned a VW for a few years but the name has just stuck.

I'm currently in Perth, Australia working on a Holiday Working Visa. I arrived in Perth on the 3rd February and started looking for a car. I really wanted a V8 Ute but unfortunately VW didn't build one so I settled for a Holden Commodore (Vauxhall).

After a few long days of searching I found one local to where i'm staying so I went and had a look and bought it! It's a 5.7 litre V8 with just over 300hp. Just what I wanted!

After driving it around I started noticing private plates on cars and realised you can have pretty much what you want! So I had a little look online and found the perfect one...

That's cool - nice sensible motor, plenty of boot space, no nasty diesel emissions - ideal!

Awesome! I'm planning on getting to Australia in the next few years on an experience visa, what line of work are you in over there may I ask?

I'm in oil and gas at the moment, and the way that's going I think my plans might be brought forward.
