someone has busted my mirror housing , i think if i could get the glass out i may be able to repair it

any ideas how to get the mirror glass off without breaking it ?

or if you have a useable mk2 passenger remote mirror please let me know

Not sure if you're still after a reply but i happen to have a picture of the myterious space behind the mirror.

The best place to try to pry the mirror off is the middle of the top and bottom, in my opinion anyway. The picture below is a 2F mirror but obviously it's that disk that the mirror and its backing plastic are attatched to. The backing plastic kinda pops off the disk. If memory serves me right and from that picture it's attatched to those 4 loops, top, left, right and bottom on the disk and some kind of circle of plastic tabs on the backing plastic that surround the whole disk.
