Featured Replies

Selling my 2009 new model Ford Ka. I came back from a 4 month trip around SE Asia and needed a cheap car to get me around, and I have to say (as much as I was against the idea of a Ford Ka at first), it has been absolutely perfect for that.

I literally only bought it last week, but I've just been offered a job in Austria for the end of the ski season (leaving this weekend - parents will handle viewings/sale), and I will be going straight into a summer sailing season in Greece afterwards. Hence the need for a car has disappeared until October. Saying that, it costs me absolutely nothing to keep it (although it would give me peace of mind to not have it sat at home).

Anyway, story over! It's a fantastic little car. 39,000 miles (will rise as still in daily use until I leave), 12 months MOT, 12 months tax (only £30), 1.2L Duratec petrol engine, it appears to have been very well looked after. It is the 'Style' model, with Dive Blue metallic paint, and the 5-speed manual gearbox. It is unbelievable on fuel (Ford officially quotes 58mpg combined!), and very cheap to insure. Mechanically the car is fantastic. It has been recently serviced but there is no service book (I will try to chase this up with Ford). Starts, runs, and drives like a dream - absolutely no issues. The car is HPI clear and shows no signs of previous damage. There is one scratch on the front bumper (will take a photographs), but otherwise only age related marks. The private number plate 'L3BYN' is included in the sale (apparently valued at £720 - I would sell this separately if I had more time).

Fairly basic as you'd expect but it is the 'Style' model which offers slightly better than standard spec. This includes:

- Electric windows

- Central locking

- Radio with aux input (speakers are surprisingly good)

- Body coloured bumpers, mirrors, door handles, and tailgate handle

- Premium trip computer

- Headlight courtesy delay

Wheel trims have now been replaced with brand new ones from Ford. These are awful photographs! It's a really tidy car

I'm asking for £3,200

Bad points:

1. Some of the buttons on the radio are faded

2. There are some small holes/marks in the seats

3. One tyre is low on tread - I will replace this before sale

4. Only one key

The wheel trims were scuffed, and one was missing when I bought the car so I've purchased a full set of brand new ones from Ford. The car will be professionally valeted before the sale. I am located just outside of Bath in the South West. Feel free to ask any questions or arrange a viewing. Test drives are welcome with proof of fully comprehensive insurance and the cash in my hand! Please contact me on 0seven837 892836 or through the forum. I will reply to this thread with updated contact details when I head to Austria.

Apologies for the poor/non-existant photographs. These will be updated as soon as possible. Please feel free to request photographs of any part of the car and I will endeavour to get them to you ASAP.

One tyre was very worn, and I found out another had a very slow puncture. The other two were different brands, so I've fitted four brand new Goodyear tyres. This car is now ready to go! Trouble free motoring

Covered just over 1700 miles in this car now and it's been absolutely fantastic - can't fault it. Here are some better photographs.
