still mucking about with the fitting of a brake servo to my mk2,

The servo that came off the mk1 cab golf is this

do you think the 6n2 servo pictured is a bit slimmer i.e. project less far from the fire wall?

If you have a 6n2 and its a petrol one, could you measure maybe?

Overall- i could do with the servo and master cylinder being about 30mm shorter (50mm would be great) than what I've been trying to fit. As its getting close to the distributer.

All help appreciated.

got the linkage for mine but but no servo

Pictures of the linkage in the bay are all on my other phone. will get some up soon - but at the moment I'm just playing around with fitment - it fits fine. Just didnt want to post stuff until its all the right stuff.

whats wrong with a 2f servo ?

I dont know - I dont have access to one. I was browsing the net looking for slimmer than what I have.

As with te the bracket etc it pushes it out towards the distributor. If I can save 1.5 - 2" then I'm in a much better place.

i read somewhere early nissan micra servos were about as small as it gets , although i think i would try and keep it all mk2f as thats been made to work with our brakes

Just been out and measured my Mk3 Ibiza petrol, from the bulkhead to end of MC 8" MC 4.5" from end to mounting flange

Thanks Nige, that sounds fairly compact. Ill re-measure in the morning and if that give me the 2" of space i need ill order a 6n2 one as above (I assume its the same/similar part to yours).

The 6n2 is an 8" dia my Ibiza is 9" part numbers are 6N2 612 107B & 6K2 612 107G

any updates on this ? still intrested to see how it works out
