Featured Replies

Hi all. I have got a problem with my carburettor flanges keep splitting. The last 2 I have got from gsf have split. Can anyone recommend where to get one from that will last more than 5 minutes?

  • Interesting thread. My last five have all split too. I get about a year out of one. The latest one seems solid, its an italian brand called 'birth flange'. I kid you not.

Not sure if this is the right one. Can anyone confirm? It looks a different shape to the ones I got from gsf?

Gotta love a bit of birth flange ;)

Where did you buy it from btw ?

Yes where did you buy it?

Do you have a Weber TLA or a Solex Pic or a Pierburg 1B3 fitted?

Last time you asked you had a SolexPIC carb.

A Weber TLA would need a different flange which I think is the one that kwijibo shows.

I reckon Febi 02365 (052129765A) for early Solex PIC - with two mount holes on perpendicular line in outer bolt pattern rectangle,

and Febi 02364 (030129765C) for later Weber TLA and Pierburg 1B3 - with two mount holes on diagonal line to outer rectangle bolt holes.

It's the 030129765c. Who sells the best quality one I can get that will last?

The Birth Flange was for a Pierburg 2e3 and came from an ebay seller. Can't spot one on there at the mo though.
