Do you guys reckon i will be able to get away with lowering my mk2f polo coupe on185 60 r 14 wheels i only want to go down about 60 40 on a kit or coilovers would i be scrapping or rubbing on this set up

185/60/14 will be a bit on the chunky side so on a 60mm drop you might run into some issues.

The fixed height kits are the cheapest way to lower these though as the cheapest coilovers start at around £350.

Hmm thats what i was thinking but i would need to pay someone to fit the kit but i woukd be able to fit the coilovers so i wont be that far off the price of coilovers do you think it would be better just get lower profiles and a kit

If you can fit the coilovers you should be able to fit a kit yourself too. It is pretty much the same job.

Depends what you're using the car for and your budget. I'd say a decent fixed height kit and lower profile tyres would be a good choice though.

Well my only worry is seperating the dampers from the strut and using it as a daily car i just cant stand how high the car is sitting atm which setup would be comfiest

Comfiest would be spending more money really, you could spend cheap coilover money on a good spring and shock kit, or like £1000 on KW coilovers...

Generally with suspension the more you spend the better, so whats your budget?

Its all a compromise really, if you have say £400 I'd be looking at some tyres and a decent spring/shock kit.

My budget is roughly 400 but don't want to spend that much I'm thinking of going back to the standard steel wheels and a 60/40 kit and looking into getting a new exhaust. Would I scrape or have any problems on 155/70 13 4.5j?
