I've been debating doing this thread for over a year now, but I've decided the time has come to share the project with you all :)

I've owned this little thing since November 2014 and since then it has undergone a few bits of work but nothing too serious.

There are a few pics of my early days of owning it but it gets a bit more picture heavy from when I started sorting the wheels for last years social, there will be many pictures in this first post as theres 18months of catching up to do!!

When I first brought her home:

Right this next bit was going to stay hidden until the Social but I've realised there no point and going to share it with you.

I have done all this work myself and it will all be completed by me :) My fingers are red raw from doing it!

All the work is being done on a 1956 Singer Sewing machine!

Work on the interior re-trim is under way

Vinyl and tartan ready cut waiting to be sewn up

IMAG0664_zpsz9npk7ag.jpg

The rear back all sewn together just waiting on me to fit the plastic clips

DSC00041_zps9gi64obg.jpg

Finished the back and fitted. Yes there are creases but I've never done anything like this before so it's so minor it doesnt bother me

DSC00059_zpspy9ncai8.jpg

Work on the rear base started

All sewn together and pattern matched with the back

DSC00060_zpsteohfk88.jpg

Partially sewn on skirt, but test fitted to the foam with the back ( I LOVE IT) :D

DSC00063_zpsqzf7b9kq.jpg

DSC00065_zpsndoohbxc.jpg

And that's all for now.. I think?

Interior work will continue this weekend and into next week if it must so I can finish the doorcards and get the whole lot fitted for the first time.

I will update this regularly with the work over the next few weeks

Those seats look absolutely ridiculous! In a good way ;) amazing job dude.

Yeah they really do. I want him to do mine but he's sweated to much on his own [emoji38]

I'll have to try this out although I know the difficulty in removing the covers alone

Theres been more swearing than sweating with the amount of times I've stabbed myself XD

And it's surprisingly easy in some respects yet f*cking horrible in others. You can pick up a basic sewing machine thatll do the job for £10-20. About £10 worth of thread and in my case £280 worth of Tartan ;) and £16.50 of vinyl and I've got a good bit left over even after I've cut out my parcel shelf and doorcards.

Oh and you think removing the covers are bad? Try fitting fresh vinyl covers.. I was knelt on the base and squashing the foam to get them damn rods in!

Your attention to detail is spot on!

What carb are you running on your old engine? I may be interested in your bolt-on filter if you wanted to sell.

Standard pooburg it fitted on a weber dmtl as well which I'll have for sale along with the engine soon :)

hmmm. As it stands i'm good with the Pierburg for the time being as I want to get the car working. Drop me a PM if/when you'd consider selling the filter on it's own!

This is so sweet man and I know youve got way more planned so can't wait.
