Yea itll be fine, i think my accurate measuring with a bit of pipe will be fine

Door is nearly sprayed up :) Just 1/2 more coats then cut back and polish. Not too bad for a back garden rattle can job, couldve been better if I'd had made more of an effort.

Better than the rusty colander thats on the car now.

And I'm fuming I missed that ding!!

Gotta thank Gramic Supplies in Colchester for being legends and getting a phone call from me flapping that I needed paint right now and then mixing it on the spot when I got there!

Yes mate all done with spray cans Not quite finished it, need to laquer it then cut back and polish so I get a nice shine

So I didn't the door finished in time to fit it time for GTi Spring Fest tomorrow.

However spent 6 hours cleaning all the winter grot off inside and out

So shes got her shower cap on tonight to protect her hair incase it rains as the sunroof seal has thrown a wobbly and stopped sealing :@

Lost nearly all motivation for this thing since GTi fest. Just been left to collect bird sh*t outside. Taken it to a few local shows and meets though :)

 

Sold the engine I had for it as thought it'd just be a waste of time removing a perfectly working engine and fitting one that I can see being a royal pain in the ass.

 

5 speed conversion to do. Weber conversion to do. Interior to finish, cover parcel shelf sort out door cards change to black roof lining. Easy list of bits. Social here I come

So this is still alive.. sort of. Left in the garage since test ran out and I havent bothered with it at all. Got an AFH conversion sat on the floor next to it gathering dust and decided i didn't want the same engine swap as everyone else XD. So need to think of something else but I need some motivation. Had some "mad" ideas like chucking a 1000cc bike motor in it or something silly like that. Otherwise it will be chucked up for sale after the new year along with the AFH conversion.

Its boring AF... I rip on AFHs enough so I'm not fitting one :P

i think the 1l twin turbo should be your next project then with overdrive
