Did a search but came up blank. Could someone suggest a way to remove the headrests from the front seats of my coupe gt? Noticed the drivers seat was starting to show signs of fatigue and with material on the back support next to the door beginning to fray. Bought some seat covers from Halfords but it requires the removal of the head rest. Haynes doesn't cover this. Anyone got any suggestions please?

Removing

push or pull spring clips out of the slotted rings in the backrest with a small screwdriver and lift headrest out

installing

to install, first press springs clips into guide rings so that the straight part of clip is at rear. then push head restraint rods into guides unitl they engage audibly.

Took the headrests off and put on a set of seat covers. Yes, they do look pretty rough and not the best of fits but for £20 from Halfords they will give my original seats some protection until I can work out what to do as a permanent solution.

That's a lot better than some of the seat covers on bay of e . Is that the only color they do ?

I'm not sure if they come in other colours. My wife thinks that they are a bit over the top with so much red. Just hope they do the job and protect my original seats.

Yes just had a look got a full set for £25 in black , my seats are mint only 18698 miles on them so need to protect them from sun damage etc..
