VW Caddy front end conversion to Polo 6N

Featured Replies

Hello guys

Since I'm having a Polo 6n estate, I've started to be quite attached to the 6N's. Thus, I've thought to buy(or make) my own 6N pick up. Now, I've seen there is a VW Caddy model which looks like a regular Polo 6N, but as a van version so to speak. That type of VW Caddy has also a pick up version, but doesn't have a 6N front end, it's a bit different.

My question is: can a VW Caddy MK2 pick up have a 6N front end? Furthermore, can the automatic transmission from a 6N go to a Caddy's engine?

Thanks in advance and, as always, any opinion is welcomed

The caddy has a wider front end compared to a 6N1/2 but it should be the same as your 6K estate

It's a none starter I'm afraid. Your truck is soda felicia- based, so it contains virtually no vag parts (except the engine if it's a 1.6 or diesel).

The caddy vans were a totally different vehicle, being a badge engineered seat incarnation.

Still cool though, I kinda miss my truck.

Bottom line, can't make a Polo pick up from a Caddy.

Thanks for enlighten me. I didn't knew that it was a Skoda based thing(I thought that Skoda copied VW :D )

Just wait til you lower it and uprate the brakes, that's when you start using ford parts!
