I have a Ibiza, and I'm wondering if someone with a Polo ever had the same problem :(

I'm having some weird situation my window only opens, when closing only closes 2cm each time.

It works ok at 12V. Once I start the engine, like 10s after, it stops working as it should. Once I stop the engine I have to wait 30s to start working again.

Did this ever happen to someone? What could it be? Already tried to lubrificate with silicone spray, but didn't work.

It could well be that the problem is NOT with voltage, but with current (or more correctly lack of current)

From your video, it would seem that the window is OK going down when the weight of the glass works with gravity, but the problem is when you are raising the glass against gravity.

It could, of course be that the motor is worn and in need of replacing, but a common problem is with the cables inside the convoluted rubber connection between the door and door pillar (near the hinges) - With the constant opening and closing of the door, these cables can, over time, start to mechanically break down, so that instead of many strands of wire in each cable, some of them break, reducing the current carrying capacity of tat cable, eventually, they will break completely.

I would suggest that you start by having a look inside this rubber cover and, holding each cable at its ends, pull it gently, if there is any stretch in the cable, then that is probably the cause of your problem. In some cases, you may even be able to see deterioration of the cable, without having to pull on it.

When the engine is turned off (only ignition turned on) it works perfectly raising the glass, do you think it could still be a wire problem?

That's why I mention the 14v. This motors are not reliable, I've seen someone who already had to replace 5 motors, but my case is very strange so I'm not sure.

Hi

Try this. With only the ignition ON, lower the window. Then press the switch to close the window BUT

keep the switch pressed for another 15 seconds after the window has closed.

it was the motor.
