Hi, just started driving and I'm struggling with a few things. I am in the process of buying some ATS wired alloys, in other places, i have seen them advertised as 5x110, however upon measuring them i found these particular wheels to be 5x112, which i believe will fit straight onto my polo. However, these alloys are 15", are there any problems that tyres could cause or if it'll need to be

lowered. The car is factory standard at this point.  Sorry i haven't really been brought up around cars but have got the bug now!

9n's are 5x100pcd. 15's will be fine so long as the offset is reasonable.

Mk1 A3 (96-2000ish) should be fine.

Also, does anyone know the maximum size tyres can be to fit in the wheel arches? I'm looking at some mk4 golf alloys with 195/65r15, big

profile but..

Bearing in mind i often have 5 people in the car will these fit?

16's are probably more suited if you want to lower the car also (something worth considering)

 

the standard wheels are 5x100 with a centre bore of 57.1mm

 

only other thing to consider is width and offset. Anything that is say between 5" wide and 7" will be fine as long as the offset is say between ET25 and ET40.

 

to choose properly I'd recommend you go onto YouTube and type in 'wheel offset explained' this will help you massively to understand what you can and can't fit when comparing them to standard wheels.

 

also with 15" wheels at standard height something like a 195 45 15, 195 50 15 will clear the arches nicely.

 

obviously tyres need to suit the size of the wheel. 195 45 16 is nice on a 16" wheel also. Lots to think about but have a look on YouTube at the stuff I suggested and you'll properly understand about wheels. Tyres are easy and a garage should be able to help you with what size would be best. 

Im looking at a set of gun metal grey bbs rx2's i know they were originally off of a mk3 golf, but again the profile might be too big at 205 55 16s
