Blue Polo 6N - 1999 - 101k - Leather seats - Alloys - Good Condition

Featured Replies

Hi guys, I will be selling my car towards the end of July and wanted to give everyone here the first chance to have a look at it. I've been as thorough as possible below but please feel free to ask questions. I realise this might not help people looking for something immediately but if you are in the market and in no hurry this could work out for both of us.

Car information:
Registration Plate = V927 DCW
Early 1999, Navarra Factory, 1.4 CL, 6N1 0F4 (Model No. MK3)
Petrol, RHD, Manual (No A/C), 8V, 60HP 44kW
Wheels 175/65 R13 T -  5.5J x 13 / ET43 / 4x100
Engine Information: 44 EU2 5G (44kW Output)
APQ (1390cc 8-valve 10-1 compression 60 bhp engine
made between '98-02 with Bosch Motronic MP 9.0
multi-point MAP-sensor controlled engine management)
ERD (Gearbox code: Manual 5-Speed 085)
LR5V (Paint colour: Fjord Blue)
5W40 Oil

Mileage: 101,000

MOT: Expires 5th November 2016

Tax: Doesn't seem to matter anymore but I have taxed it yes.

Good points: Very well taken care of, I'm a bit cautious so anytime anything sounded or looked a little wrong I would get it fixed or looked at. Haven't had much to do this year at all and many of the parts that seem most likely to fail have been replaced over the last two years. There's a full list of work I've had done since I got the car below. Otherwise, the paint and body are in good condition (not much rust around and no large dings or scratches, it's all pretty minor stuff). it starts first time, every time (except just before I replaced the starter motor!). No oil leaks or any other leaks. Not sure what else to say, it's in pretty good shape. Comes with leather seats, alloys, a good car stereo and minor 6n2 upgrades like stearing wheel, gearstick, locking pins etc... Also installed remote locking so the keys (I have 2!) both have a remote control with them. I have it washed and hoovered out every month and take care of it.

Bad points: A little rust around the wheel arches, nothing too bad though as mentioned above. That aside I don't know what to tell you, it's 16 years old so it's not the quietest car in the world but it get's me to and from work each day and allows the odd 100 mile round trip to my parents whenever I need to go. If I'm pushing for negatives then there's a slight noise sporadically coming from the passenger door that I don't notice anymore and the passenger side electric window isn't as fast as the drivers side.

Price: £500 - No offers please, I think the car in its current condition is worth more and am pricing it at £500 because I want to give a good deal to someone, I'm not after giving it away though - I've spent a lot of money and time and effort bringing it up to where I'm happy with it.
