Mk2 strut to coilover?

Featured Replies

Hiya so I've posted before about coilovers and I've figured out with hubs and arb bushings plus coilovers is like 490 quid.  My mate is breaking his breadvan parts and I have been offered rear coilovers. Very good money and I'm thinking of taking the offer, I don't want to cut front springs and I don't know of anywhere that sells just front coilovers for a mk2. If anyone knows of anyone who will sell just front coilovers or anyone that has any for sale please let me know.

But I'm also thinking has anyone just welded on a coilover strut? I've seen people do it for a 240 but is there anyone that could do it for me or any how too's on it?? Thanks

Take a look at this.

It isn't something you can just slam together though, if you don't have the required skills to do this then find someone that does. After all you are playing with your steering, so if anything goes wrong while it is on the road then you could put you and others at risk.
