Mk3 GT Coupe

Featured Replies

Right lets try and make an effort to sell it this time now
Completely standard Mk3 Polo GT Coupe
10 Months MOT.
Converted to an 8p box
Full Service History!!
3 owners
136k Miles will go up very slightly as its still a daily.
I've done and had done a huge amount of mechanical work to this since August 2015
Its had all springs, all shocks, all bearings, brakes, all steering components, top mounts and with bearings, new castle nuts, new driveshafts, rear stub axles
Clutch kit and flywheel skim, Headgasket, cambelt, water pump, sump gasket, mid and rear exhaust sections and 8P box fitted all done at 133k. This came to a total of £2070!

Brand new tyres all round on original steels.
Only have 2 original hubcaps but I have some normal hubcaps that can be painted up to make a set.
Interior is all original with a dealer optional extra radio. Also has the cassette holder! The back seat has two seams starting to split but it's an quick/cheap repair which I may sort before selling.
Exterior cosmetics are the let down. It needs the drivers wing respraying as it has lacquer peeling but you can also see in the picture its dented slightly :( And being a 25 year old car that the last owner used daily from a few months old in Central London, it has a fair few car park dings in the doors.
All GT exterior trim is present as well as the badges.
Replacement front carpet will be going in this weekend (27/5) and the bit under the pedals has split so got a mint replacement.

This car as been a perfect daily for me, it has never missed a beat! Its been loaded up with various engines and gearboxes and travelled across the country without fail. The 8p box has bumped up the economy to 50-55mpg on a run and it pulls so much better with the longer ratios than the standard box! I do have the standard GT box available to go with the car if the buyer wants it but I'm not selling it separately.

I'm only selling as I've been offered a dirty diesel Golf which I'd use as a daily instead.
I will not break it

£1100 ovno

No time wasters. This is a much loved car, and is as close to mechanically sound original GT as you will find.
