Evening chaps.

So I've got a mk2f which I'm putting a 1.6 16v into. It's running megasquirt management, which I've eventually got me head around.

My question for the moment is.. What's the 11pin ignition module for? Do I need it or is it just a remnant from the original 6n2 loom ?

What 11 pin ignition module ?? the 1.6 16v coil unit is only 4 pins, power, ground and two signal wires from the ECU

That's what I thought but there's an 11pin ignition module in the harness and the "fag packet" diagram I inherited, can't see anywhere it plugs into. I'm starting to think it's just there as a junction block for wires.

On the original 6N2 wiring, the power and ground for the coil pack come via a 5 pin connector by the cylinder head and the two signal wires from the ECU come via the brown 14 pin main engine disconnect plug
