Hi all, I'm in need of a throttle cable for my 1.4 8v mk3 98'.

Bought one today but is too long, has more play than my old stretched one!

Any ideas as to where I can get one? Or how long it needs to be?

Was it a genuine VW cable that you bought? 

Some after-market parts leave a lot to be desired.

If you are unable to get a cable of the correct length, you may be able to get one made up to pattern at a motor cycle repair shop, they may even be willing to shorten your new one.

It was aftermarket yes. Good shout will have a mooch.
