BMW 318i ‘E46’

First registered 01/07/1999 on a T plate

1.9l petrol

Manual 5 speed gearbox

4 Owners including myself

104600 miles as of 11/06/16. Will go up as is my daily driver

Full service history, Main dealer to 2006 (40k) then 3 more stamps at 60k, 81k and 95k. And has had a few oil/filter changes in between

Inspection 2 will be due in about 13k (according to the dash)

4 keys (min, spare, wallet and valet)

Original wallet with all the user manuals and service manuals

Average 43mpg so fairly economical

12 months MOT (1st july 2017)

Advisories as follows:

Rear registration plate deteriorated but not likely to be misread

Front exhaust bracket broken but system still support

Brake hose slightly deteriorated both front

Osf tyre outer wall damaged (I Can’t see anything so obviously not too bad)

In the last 2 years the car has had

wishbone rear bushes with uprated poly bushes

Drivers window regulator (common e46 fault)

Engine breather hose (common e46 fault)

Alternator belt tensioner

Rear brake pads

Water pump was replaced 2013

Pile of receipts dating back to 2003

Every MOT certificate since the first in 2002.

Interior

BMW Business tape stereo system with CD Multi-changer. Multi-changer has never worked in my ownership or previous owners.

Will leave my Tape to Aux as I won’t need it

Heated Grey leather seats, few marks in places but no rips. Very comfy

Wood effect trim has been vinyl wrapped in carbon fibre similar to higher spec models,  not perfect but presentable.

New black leather gator to replace tatty grey one

Replica M sport gear knob fo replace cracked wood effect one. Nice and heavy but bit plasticy

Air con is fairly cool but would benefit from a regas as i'm not sure it's ever been done.

All original Tools are present in the boot lid.

Exterior

Clear indicators and side repeaters fitted for more modern look but the originals will come with the car.

Paint in fairly good condition and no sign of any rust. There is a scuff to the n/s rear of the bumper caused by a parking mishap. And unfortunately a small dint on the bonnet which must be very new as i only noticed it when taking pictures. It wasn’t there when i washed the car last week!

Original 15” wheels will be put on the car for sale. Tyres aren’t great and 2 wheels have kerb damage.

If the right price is agreed i will include the current 17” Replica M sport alloys in anthracite good condition with 245/45 tyres with 5mm front and 6mm back.

Overall the car has been fantastic over my ownership. Does 50 mile daily commute and has never once let me down.

Great family car with huge boot and fairly economical running. Only reason I am selling is that i am now old enough to insure something a bit quicker and more exciting.

Car is based in Farnborough, Hants

Asking £1500 ono. May consider lower value px until i sort my new car. But I'm quite fussy so would prefer cash sale.

I will not accept any low ball offers. If the car doesn't sell i will use it as a trade in when i buy my new car.
