Mk2 1.3 Cyl Head torque setting and procedure

Featured Replies

Hi,

Just had head skimmed after blowing a rad hose and small amount of oil in water, does anyone have the torque settings.

Ive looked in FAQ and can only find 1.0 engine - 30Nm, 90 deg 90 deg??

Thanks

Ok Thanks.

Better to do the 180 degree in 90 degree stages, I didn't even do the full 180 because it was damn tight with the breaker bar already. Hasn't leaked yet but not sure how accurate my torque wrench is and I could have gone over slightly

Is this also true for a GK engine?

Make sure you get the right length bolts. I had a bit of a struggle finding correct ones.

Yes, 40Nm, 60Nm, 2x 90° in a spiral pattern.
