As per title. My front right wheel screeches rather than squeaks when being driven. I noticed today under braking that the screech was amplified somewhat until i came to a stop. But even without the brakes applied I get a pulsating screech with about a half second interval between each 'pulse'..

 

I'm thinking warped disks? Or could it be something else... Pads? or not brake related at all...

 

Any tips on checking for any of the above or any other causes that you guys might think of?

First check the backplate hasn't moved to touching the back of the disc, failing that check the inside brake pad and the inside of the brake disc. Let me know how you get on

soooo... problem solved. Brake pads wore unevenly and were pretty much gone. The backing of the brake pad and lip on the disk were in contact for the point where the pad had worn down to nothing.

 

Needless to say. It all got changed.
